What to expect

During an eye examination, our specialists will assess your cornea’s health and use advanced imaging technology to create a treatment plan. This part of the process makes sure PTK is the right solution for your specific condition.
Numbing eye drops will be applied, and a mild sedative may be offered if needed. The excimer laser will precisely remove damaged corneal tissue and smooth irregularities in just minutes. A protective bandage contact lens is placed to support healing.
Mild discomfort or light sensitivity is normal and usually subsides within days. You'll receive tailored aftercare guidance, including prescribed eye drops, and will be advised to attend follow-up appointments to monitor healing and vision improvements.
