Mr Rehan Rajput

Mr Rajput is a UK board-certified Consultant Ophthalmologist with a specialism in Oculoplastic Surgery, focussing on eyelid and tear duct procedures. With extensive training and international experience, he provides expert care in both reconstructive and cosmetic eye surgery.

About

After completing his schooling at Dulwich College, Mr Rajput went on to read Medicine at King's College London and Imperial College Business School, during which time he won scholarships to one of the most prestigious eye centres in the world, the Wilmer Eye Institute, Baltimore, USA. 

He began his Ophthalmology training at Moorfields Eye Hospital in London and, following completion of his training, undertook his first Oculoplastic fellowship at the Queens Medical Centre in Nottingham. He then went onto secure a scholarship awarded by the Ethicon Foundation Fund and the Royal College of Ophthalmologists to undertake further sub specialist training in Orbital and Oculoplastic surgery at the University of Auckland, during which time he received specific training in Cosmetic eyelid surgery. 

He has performed more than 1,000 Oculoplastic procedures. With a particular interest in research, he has published multiple papers in the field of Oculoplastic Surgery and has presented numerous papers in international meetings including BOPSS (British Oculoplastic Surgery Society), Canadian Society of Ophthalmology, and ESOPRS (European Society of Oculoplastic Surgery). 

He is regularly asked to review scientific articles for renowned Oculoplastic journals such as Orbit and Ophthalmic Plastic Reconstructive Surgery (OPRS). Mr Rajput has a particular interest in cosmetic eyelid surgery including upper eyelid blepharoplasty, droopy eyelid correction (ptosis), and lower eyelid bag and laxity surgery. He believes in taking the time to understand his patient's ideas, concerns, and expectations so that he can deliver the optimal results. 

He has held NHS Consultant appointments at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Birmingham and is currently the Clinical Lead for Oculoplastic Surgery at the Mersey and West Lancashire Teaching NHS Trust.

He is an avid sportsman with a keen interest in cricket, football and enjoys keeping fit by regularly running and swimming. He lives in Cheshire with his wife and three beautiful daughters.
