Mr Mostafa Elgohary is a highly experienced Consultant Ophthalmologist specialising in vitreoretinal surgery. He has extensive expertise in cataract surgery, complex lens implant procedures, and the management of retinal conditions, including floaters, macular holes, and retinal detachment.

Mr Elgohary is currently a consultant ophthalmologist specialising in vitreoretinal surgery at Kingston Hospital.

His extensive training includes a residency in the North Thames London Deanery programme, with rotations at Broomfield Hospital, UCLH, and Moorfields Eye Hospital. He also completed his vitreoretinal surgery fellowship at Moorfields Eye Hospital, and trained in paediatric and ophthalmology and vitreoretinal disorders at the Hospital for Sick Children, Toronto – one of the largest paediatric hospitals in North America.

Mr Elgohary has a notable interest in research, focusing on retinal detachment and macular hole repair surgery, and has given several presentations at international meetings and courses on the subject. He also obtained an MD degree from University College London (UCL) resulting in several peer-reviewed publications.

Mr Elgohary is also a senior instructor on several courses at international Ophthalmology meetings, including the European Society of Retina Specialists, European Vitreoretinal Society, and European Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgeons.
